Our 5 tips for Christmas Shopping

When Covid hit earlier this year it changed just about everything and people thought we’d be back to normal by Christmas, however this doesn’t seem to be the case… Despite all the restrictions, people aren’t letting that stop them when it comes to gifting presents to family and friends. We know how hard it can be to think of new and original ideas year on year (especially this year) but here are some of our best tips for you!

1.Shop small

With everything going on in the world, small independent businesses need your help more than ever. You can often get just as nice, if not better products from small businesses – surprisingly the whole of Christmas doesn’t have to revolve around Amazon! If you’ve got gift ideas, scout out small independents first, as you’re not only helping their business survive but you’re getting a much more personal gift too!

2. Be organised

Christmas shopping doesn’t have to be stressful. A great way of keeping your stress levels down this Christmas is to make a list. Keep a list of who you need to buy for and what you’re going to get them. This way you can keep track of all your presents and feel like you’ve achieved something once you’ve got the presents!

3. Get experiences

Experiences are a great gift idea as 1. You don’t need to physically go and get it and 2. It gives someone the chance to experience something they may not previously paid for themselves. Some great gift experiences could be a food voucher to their favourite restaurant, a hotel voucher or a day out somewhere. Although they may not be able to go immediately (due to the tier system) it's a great present for them to look forward to in the new year!

4. Look for deals!

Although Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been and gone, they’ll still be offers to be had throughout December! There's often discount codes for you to utilise so make sure you look out for offers where you can and grab your bargains!

5. Gifts aren’t everything

Although opening presents is great and it’s always nice to have something new, gifts aren’t everything. The most important thing is who’s around your Christmas tree, not what’s under it. So make sure you're appreciative of who’s around you on Christmas day as this is what’s most important.

Everyone will be having very different Christmas's this year, let us know what you're going to be getting up to!
